  • Hello everyone. This weekend, Zachary got his first haircut. It went pretty well - we went to a place that specialized in babies/kids haircuts. Of course, I saved a lock for the baby book. My 2 sisters came to visit, and we went to a Fondue birthday party honoring my friend Dana.

We put a deposit on his birthday party at EncourGYM. They'll set up and clean up.Yea! Plus, they'll entertain all the kids with bubble blowers, a parachute, big trampoline, slide ect. They even provide the invitations (although I might want to get my own) and balloons. I just have to buy the cake, paper products, appetizers, and goodie bag. I'm thinking it'll be a "sports" theme since the party is at a gym. I could get inflatable beach balls for the goodie bag. And while Zach does not need more shoes, I really like the baseball Robeez. Arg... should I get them?! And what size? He currently wears 6-12 months. He has 2 pairs for 12-18 months, and another 2 for 18-24 months. (After 2, he won't need to wear the soft shoes.) The 6-12 are very worn out, but the 12-18 months are too big still.

  • I'm not sure where you're from. But I'm in Berwyn and near me they have a baby botique. And I'm sure they have those. They have many of those cute styles like that in the doft leather. Just wondering =)

  • Whoah is that a real Hershey bar? hmm..my kinda guy..cute and into chocolate...hehe
He looks adorable getting his hair cut on his daddy's lap. =)

  • i <3 the hershey pic!!! totally delish! ;)

erm *dilema* if the shoes arent so big that they fall off .. then maybe 12-18 months :D

i think it'd be a great achievement if we still looked slim after having kids .. that's the ultimate test for the female bod! ><

  • lucky lucky baby!

  • JUST to cute!! Can I be invited, I promise I'll be on my best behavior and play nice!?

He's just too kute! awww and that barber place looks super neat!

  • Awww, look at Zachary on daddy's lap....so peaceful.

Johnathan had his 1st haircut on his 1st bday...anything but peaceful.

*sniff sniff* I can't believe Zach is almost 1. He has grown into a handsome lil tot.

    Love the pics.

I dont know what size you should get. I have the same problem when it comes to getting Johnathan's shoes. Their feet grow so freakin fast..it almost seems logical to get the bigger size. Hmph...

    Have a great week!

  • how much was the haircut?

i will cut it for you next time. = )

  • Did you notice that in all photos, the Girl in the Pink Shirt stands with her left leg completely straight but her right leg bent?  Well, I just tried it, and you know, assuming a person has equal-length legs, it's actually pretty hard to duplicate.

  • Awesome!  I need to try out our Kiddie Kuts here in Hawaii...

Oooh sounds like a cool birthday party!!   Zach is lucky!

  • oh my gosh! what is the name of the kiddie salon you took Zack to? did they do a good job? Devin is only 2 months old, but the boy is in need of a hair cut bad (already!!!). he was born w/ sooo much hair...and we can pull it behind his ears now. Zach is such a cutie in his pics...do u think he likes the camera??? * ^ ^ *

  • Now that sounds like a birthday party! When will it be? It's for his one year, right? When is his birthday?

  • My goodness.. he's so big now!!!

  • Time flies soo fast. He will be 1 in no time!

    Love the Hershey's pic =)

  • What cute shoes!!! And that Hershey bar... he must be in love!

  • Robeez are so cute! It's good that he was good for his first haircut...I don't think I'll have the heart to cut Giovanni's hair for a loooong while lol. That hershey bar is huge!! Heaven!!

  • Your mental deliberation over the sports shoes along with the inventory of his current shoes per age was really boring.

  • I disagree with the previous commenter.  I LOVE your mental deliberation over the sports shoes and your inventory of Zachary's current shoes per age.  And frankly, if you could also please post an entry about his sock inventory, I'd be forever grateful.  Thank you.

  • I am a fellow Robeez addict... also obsessing over her next pair (in my xanga, no less) and what size I should order.

If your sister were a true friend she would sympathize with your plight and buy him the sports shoes in 6-12 AND 12-18. Alas, my siblings are useless to me, as well ;) .

Always enjoy your posts... glad to see him growing so big and happy!

  • Zach pics makes me happy.

  • First hair cut hmm? Did he wiggle around or stay still? (yeah right a little one staying still right?) Holy, that's one big choco bar! Annie would try to steal it away LOL
