  • Zachary is walking!  Finally! I thought for sure he was going to walk earlier because he was crawling at 6 months and cruising at 7 months. Also, he has a smaller head (20th %ile) and  I read that babies with smaller heads tend to walk earlier because they have an easier time with balance. I also read that babies usually focus on physical or mental skills .. and with Zach's below average verbal skills, I thought for sure he was a more physical baby. I guess the poor communication skills are a result of having 2 engineers for parents.

Anyway, this week he went to the park, the gym, and a playgroup.  Enjoy the pictures!

  • Wow, he's walking? Last time I checked, he was only 7 months! hehe Gosh, time goes by so fast! He is so adorable.

  • He is getting sooo big!

  • Really.. the size of Zachary's head is considered small?  Interesting!  The pictures are adorable as always.

  • Well, he doesn't like the nasal trumpet much but he needs it to open up his airway.

  • cool!  you must be so excited!:D

  • Congratulations Zach on such a special milestone! Watch out next thing you know he's running around the house...it happens fast (at least in my experience)

He's sooo adorable in those pictures...and what a busy guy --gym, park, and playgroup! Whew~

  • Woo Hoo for big steps ^_^ Now he's gonna wear out his sneaks!

  • Congrats.

Johnnie didnt walk until he was 16 months....if that is true what you say about the head size than that must be the reason why Johnnie and Sam(big heads) took their 1st steps when they were over a year old.

Zach is looking cute as always...I cant believe this time a year ago, you were still preggo, seems like yesterday.

    Have a great evening/Sunday.

  • Yipeee! Did you ever get him a walker? If you did, what kind? Coz i was actually at Babies R Us earlier, looking for one.

    Thanks!

  • YAY!!! WAY TO GO ZACH!! I bet you're excited as ever! I really don't think it matters what age he starts do to things as most kids are pretty caught up by 4-5.

  • How old is Zachary right now?

  • Yay for walking. How exciting!

  • Wow, that's great!  My Timmy hasn't started walking yet.  He's 31 months.  But he IS listed in the Guinness Book under the category "world's largest baby head," so maybe that's the issue right there.

  • Congrats Zach and mum n dad too! You guys must have been so proud. Now it'll be time when he's running about in the house and you guys will have to be running around with him too :)

  • wow .. he can walk already! damn... time goes by so fast. pretty soon he'll be in kindergarden

  • oooh.. I can't wait for Ricky to start crawling.. But I can wait for him to start walking.. lol... i just want him to be able to sit by himself and to be able to hold his head up.... I can't believe Zach's walking already.. Time does fly by... :)

  • Whos the husky white boy in the orange shirt in the last photo? Surely that is not Zachary.

  • yo jennifer. what's up with that shovel? i could hook him up with a metal one you know. or is that thing a spoon?

  • Being a young woman (only 19 years of age) I never think about having children....let alone following one online. But he's just so cute!  He's getting so big!

  • Hi there Zack! You are still the cutest. Good luck with your new legs- stay out of trouble. Mama you are 2 funny, 20% ile,eh?

    Cheers,

    Ieshia ( cypher_ali)

  • You are the cutest baby Zachary!

  • Woohoo! Good for Zachary! Derek is trailing right behind. He's still working at it, but it won't be long. It must be so much more fun for him at the playground now that he can walk and keep up with the other kids. Does he walk far? Or just a few steps at a time?

  • oh he's so adorable, wow he's walking now...is he house-trained or does he create havoc now that he can walk?? hehe.

btw, his 1st bday party plans sounds fab and yes ridding the cleaning is a godsend, every year for the kiddies parties I clean and clean, the last one gave me muscles overnight from the 50+dishes I had to wipe clean...*sigh* if only their mums were as smart as you... =)

  • Great job, Zach!!  Try not to get into too much trouble and drive your parents nuts.  Just a little nuts!

I'm waiting for Tyler to sit by himself.  It's interesting to hear about the head size, as Tyler is only in the 20th percentile too.  I guess we'll have to wait and see!!

  • I dunno about his "orangeness"...I've never heard that what you eat makes you turn colors. If it were Giovanni, I'd probably call the doc and ask. Just cuz....well I'm paranoid like that ;) He's cute as ever though and it looks like he's having lots of fun.
