  • Last week, Zachary's friend Alex came over to play.  We also went to Suhani's house for dinner - Indian food, my favorite!


      


    We also went to Karen's baby shower. Zachary tried to show off his new trick - holding a toy palm side up. But of course, it fell and the little girl was not impressed at all.


     


     


    This weekend we went to Tristan's 3rd birthday party at the Fun-ky Monkey, who is a 2nd cousin to the more famous Chuck E. Cheese.


      


      


    Of course, we took Zachary to the park and gym a few times this week too ... we've been going to brunch after the Sunday morning gym class.


      


    A few interesting developments. Has anyone noticed that Zachary has gotten orange? It's not my camera - he looks orange in real life. I wonder if its because his diet consists of many sweet potatoes and carrots? He's also decided to stop walking. His record was 17 steps last week ... and lately it's been 1-2 steps. In place of that major milestone, he has a new trick. He can stick a finger in his nostril and then into his mouth. He makes his mama proud.

  • ...like how corn fed chickens have yellow skin! hehehe i dun think it happens in human. It's good to know he's making lots of melanin i.e. he'll have superior skin therefore less chance of getting skin cancer later on

    The orange tint is definitely from his diet. Johnnie turned orange from carrots and the stage 2 tomato sauce w/spaghetti bits, etc.....he was about 3 shades darker than Zach at his orangiest..haha....dont worry, it'll fade when he discontinue eating colored baby food.

    Dont feel bummed Zach, I was impressed.

  • i love the picture of him smacking his headafter he drops the toy.  he's like "doh!"  so cute!

  • Food does that! I remember watching an episode of The Magic School Bus (the educational cartoon show on PBS  ) where this boy turns orange cause of his carrot diet. 

    Yeah, that was some good ten years ago, and I still remember that.

    I'm guessing that his skin is just darkening. Especially with all the park trips, he's probably getting more sun than he used to.

  • Regarding picture #2: Nothing good can come of Zach, a girl, and a car named "Lay Buggy."

  • Hmm, might not want to overload on his red/orange colored foods, hon. He may have excessive intake of Vitamin A.  Now that you mention it, he does look more Nemo colored these days, although not severely so.  I would grab you some links, but did not find the ones that had the right facts I wanted to relay to you.  In any case, try to go for a well balanced diet with lots of milk intake.  Sounds simple and duh I know, but it is harder in practice and ought to make a difference. 

    Oh, and aside from the oh-so-technical nutritional suggestions :P , of course it is wonderful to see Zachary and family/friends pics.  He is the sweetest!

  • Zach appears to be a master of all vehicles.  I see him fixing the tire on the Lay Buggy, flying the tiny red plane with the giant girl squeezed into the cargo hold.  (He must have switched on the auto pilot).  He is cruzin in a formula one car, and taking his Dad on a perilous mountain trail on a motorcycle.  Zach is very confident, and in complete control, but Dad looks like he is scared to death.  (Check out the white knuckle grip he has on that handlebar).

  • the turning orange thing happened on an episode of House! the guy ate too many carrots

  • just wait till the guy learns to scratch his diaper area then stick it in his mouth.

    now that's something for mama to be proud of.
