Almost 3 weeks without an update. Well, better late than never, right? I’m finally posting Halloween pictures – Happy Halloween, everyone! We bought way too much candy – two big bags from Costco. We gave each child 2 mini candy bars … and still had more than half left over! Zachary didn’t really get the trick-o-treating concept. Went door to door – didn’t say a word. When we went home, he went straight to bed. I think he was a little sick. (He also doesn’t eat candy … may have had a few M&Ms in his life … so going trick-o-treating might seem pointless to him.) I ended up taking all the candy to work with me – and it was gone within a day. Best part was that I ate ZERO of them – what willpower!

The weekend after Halloween, James’ parents came up to visit. His mom and I went to a Super Suppers tasting for dinner – bascially sampled a variety of dinner entrees and desserts. The morning after, we made 12 entrees together, while snacking on coffee and scones. For some reason, these entrees really last a long time with us – maybe because we eat them with a side of vegetables and salad.
I took Zachary to the park! He loves to climb, but is too scared to come down. Reminds me of the Chinese poem/song about the mouse who climbs the lamp post.
Here’s a game recommendation … Cariboo. It’s short, and the focus is on letter/numbers/shapes/colors. Zachary’s 2.5-years-old and can play the advanced version, so I recommend this game for 2-year-old birthday gifts. Zachary can play Candyland too, but he loses interest towards the end. He’ll probably like that one when he’s alittle older. He definately understands taking turns, which is good – he probably learned it from daycare. I can’t wait to get Zachary started on Settlers. I bet in the beginning, he’ll make a bunch of bad trades.
Zachary is still taking swimming lessons – he can now jump in from the side of the pool. SPLASH! And since Christmas is coming up, I picked up a few toys for Zachary from my friend Sherry’s Discovery Toy party.

Zachary’s costume + Zachary’s spider basket = waaaaaay too many legs.
Didn’t he understand the concept of Trick-or-Treating when he was 1.5? What happened??
Pet cockatiel! Hehe, what a healthy baby – shunning sweets. It’s almost unheard of in kids. What awesome parenting skills.
if i were wearing that octopus skirt, i wouldn’t say a word, either.
That’s cute how he didn’t get the trick or treating concept! He looks SO much bigger…they grow so fast right? My sis (well one in many) FINALLY is preggies with a boy!! Hope he’s a cutie like Zach!
