  • Happy Christmas Eve!

Last weekend we went to Alex’s house for a cookie decorating Christmas party. It was lots of fun – and the turkey sandwiches for lunch were delicious!

After the party, Dana came to our house … Dave joined us in the evening, and we had our annual gift exchange. James recieved a wine pump, and I got a cupcake/cake carry container. Both very useful! We got them the latest Entertainment book (to encourage Dana to meet up with friends for lunch despite having a baby at home!) and a children’s book (“If You Give a Mouse a Cookie – one of Zachary’s favorites) for Jason.

I hitched a ride with Dana/Dave to Joe and Sara’s annual Christmas party that night. (James opted to stay home with Zachary). We participated in the last potluck dinner, crazy white elephant gift exchange, and carol singing in their ‘old’ house – they just upgraded to a huge new home and all future parties will be held there!

One Sunday, we celebrated Jonathan’s birthday at Bouncopolis! A big room, packed with 4 different bounce areas – Zachary loved it! James and I even got in on the action, running around and chasing Zachary in the bounce houses. Happy 5th Birthday Jonathan!

The week was pretty fun too … slower days at work and lots of cancelled meetings meant that I could catch up.. and even joke around/chat with coworkers. On Friday, before the long weekend, I went to Zachary’s daycare Holiday Cantata, where his class sang ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas.’ At first, Zachary was teary with eyes downcast, but halfway through the first song, he looked up and started singing! I wish I had my camera! And of course, my cell phone was out of batteries.  If one of the other parents forwards me any pictures, I’ll post them!

  • The Baco parties are always fun. A rare treat to sing without being shunned afterwards. Bouncopolis sounds awesome. I’m sure your thighs are mighty strong now. In that last photo, I can almost hear the sound of the cackling photographer. Glad that the moose outfit fits Zach!
