• I went in last week for my 18 week ultrasound. The place I went to was a lot nicer than the previous place I went to when I was pregnant with Zachary. The sonographer was quick at getting the cervix picture and let me use the restroom right away so that I could enjoy the rest of the appointment. She also chatted throughout the appointment and let me try to guess the baby’s sex. It wasn’t obvious to me, but the sonographer was pretty confident (90%)

   

  

  IT’S A GIRL!!! 

  I’m elated I get to experience both a boy and a girl; I feel so lucky! The interesting thing is that so many people guessed correctly. I had a intuition that it was a girl, and so did my sister Alice and 3 of my friends (Dana, Megan, Natalie.) Zachary was so sure he was having a sister too. I was actually a bit worried about how to break the news to him if it turned out to be a brother.

  Zachary’s comments before we knew:

  “Babies are small. Girls are small. It must be sister.”

  “If it’s a boy you will be the only girl in the family. We need to have 2 boys and 2 girls. So it must be sister.”

  “ It’s a sister. You already have a boy so it must be a girl.”

  Zachary’s response after we told him today that it was a girl:

  “I was right.”
