  • Baby Zachary had a dinner party in his honor to introduce him to some close friends and family members in the Bay Area!

Attendees: Aunt Helena, Couins Dhyana (with fiance Donald), Ricky, Dave, Benny (with girlfriend Christine), Spencer. Sisters Alice and Sophia. Friends Craig and Paolo (with wife Elisabeth.) And of course me, my husband, and baby Zachary!

Here are some of his favorite past times. Walking (assisted of course!), being read to, and making funny faces. He’s a fat baby, but his legs are suprisingly strong.

zachary looks so cute in every pic, he steals the spotlight.

    have a great evening.

  • he is SO cute!

  • Nice pictures, he’s a popular little guy!  :)    he’s getting so big too!   Enjoy your day!

  • i just wish i had some belly pics to look back at like you do. . it’s like watching a miracle in the making, step by step.

next time, i will definitely take some.

    have a great week!

  • I always love your baby pics awwwwwwwwwww

  • If by walking, you mean standing.  And by listening to people read, you mean looking at the camera and not paying attention.  The making faces part, I agree.

  • hehe, the competition is on!

  • btw, i think zachary has an advantage over my son, for some strange reason, helen thinks my son is a playa.

  • Hahahah.. cyber dating.. that’s cute.  Johnathan is such a cutie.  As a matter of fact, all our babies here in xangaland are soooo adorable!  I guess xanga has an ingredient in making babies extra cute.  haha

Thanks for all your compliments.  Zach (if I may call him that) is so cute in those pictures.  Doesn’t feel great when he’s welcome EVERYWHERE by EVERYONE?  I’m so proud to be a mommy. =)

  • your baby is SOOOOO adorable!!  i love asian babies!  he doesn’t look mixed, really.  he looks asian.

anyways, i wanted to tell you about the 5 S’s.  I watched this pediatrician on tv who demonstrated 5 ways to trigger the “calming reflex.”  just as any reflex, you have to trigger it by doing the suggestions exactly right (just like how you have to hit the knee in the exact spot to cause the jumping reflex).  the 5 S’s are guaranteed to calm your baby when he’s crying.  anyways, the 5 S’s are:

    1.  swaddling-swaddle the baby tightly with a blanket and he’ll stop crying.

    2.  side-hold the baby on his side.

    3.  swinging-while holding the baby on his side, ever so gently allow his head to swing back and forth as though he were nodding gently.

    4.  shushing-put your lips all the way up against his ear and do the “shhhhhh” thing rather loudly.  it imitates the sounds of the womb and will trigger the calming reflex.  most people think babies need quiet.  this is a myth because the womb is not a quiet place, it’s like an ocean in there.  so babies are actually more comfortable in noisy surroundings where there’s a constant buzz, say from a vacuum cleaner.

    5.  sucking-pacifier, this is the one that everyone knows.

  • he is such a handsome litte guy! it looks like everyone LOVES HIM!!! isnt mommyhood the best?

i really think hes adorable. hes gotten so big, i dont think hes fat though…hes just adorable.!

  • great pics jennifer! thanks again for the dinner and the opportunity to hang out with zachary :)

  • Zachary looks mighty handsome in his overall.

  • He’s just such a cutie!!!   Looks like he was having a good time while meeting new people!

  • lol! i didnt get suckered into it…..i actually agreed to do it until rachaels uncle found a job and then they would start paying me a hundred bucks a week. unfortunatly, while the economy might be getting better in other places, colorado springs hasnt really caught up because of all the military things we have here (the soldiers are off in iraq..). so he still hasnt found a decent one yet.

anyways, i hope *fingers crossed* the interview went well and he has one.

    *hugs*
