Platex bottles did not work. We’re giving up for awhile – maybe until he starts eating rice cereal. My friend has a new baby, and I loaned her all my Avent stuff – sterilizer, bottle warmer, bottles, nipples, storage bags and clips. My mom says to keep trying, but we have been trying for a month and he screams hysterically with tears. He turns red and sweats so much, we need to give him a bath. It really feels like we are torturing him, and he’s only 2 months. Also, he latches on well, so a feeding only takes about 10 minutes now. Final score ….

Awwww. Hang in there. Just think of it this way, he loves you and prefers only Mommy. I wish James was like that, but bottles won over Mommy.
Hope you have a great Fourth of July weekend!
Breastfeeding is the best, Zachary knows! hehe
Maybe when he’s a bit older he’ll want to take a bottle, enjoy the bonding time with him. Have a greatr day!
cheryl is right…he just prefers mommy over bottle…and it’s a great bonding experience, one you will look back at when he’s 5 and off to school.
my daddy tells me a story about how i always cried when they took my pacifier away. i loved sucking on my pacifier. so one day my daddy took a needle and poked two holes in the pacifier so when i sucked on it, it wasn’t as fulfilling. i suggest you poke holes in your nipples.
Spencer – your dad probably gave you a lot of gas.
sure, 10 minutes…but how many times a day do feedings occur?
Let me answer that for you, Propheticdreamer. She feeds the poor boy every 15 minutes. It’s unreal.
