  • Here are some pictures from Monday’s babygroup, and a beautiful wedding we attended last weekend in San Francisco. Zachary was so fussy at the wedding. I got tons of compliments on the dress I wore, but then I ripped the back while nursing in the car (awkward position) and the top didn’t fit as well (thanks to the nursing … I think I went down a size or two!). It was my sister’s new dress, and she rejected my sewing job so I have to get it to a tailor now. Bleech.

I have to ask those of you with babies. I used to carry nice bags – Coach, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, and Dooney. The past 5 months, I’ve been carrying the cheap Similac bag they give you free at the hospital. It was okay at first (I was too tired to care), but now I just feel sloppy. Any recommendations? It can’t be too girly because my husband is taking 3 months off to care for the baby when I go back to work …he doesn’t want to carry a flowery bag. I also don’t want to spend $1000, so the one below is out.

  • Neaaaat, that bag is nice, but I wouldn’t spend that much money either.  LOL!!

By the way, that is a very nice wedding cake!!!

  • I think Kate Spade makes some baby bags?  I think they’re plain black (microfiber i think?)

Holy cow!! That dress is amazing!!

    :)

  • That bag is really cute. But 1k for a bag…that is a lot. But I do like it!

And that dress is goregous! You looked great!

  • AWWWW!! i love the pictures, adn that cake is GORGEOUS!!!!

as for bags, you can try babystyle.com, they have some nice ones, that arent pricey, about 50 bucks or so. also, either parenting, or child magazine had a thing on diaper bags in this months issue, im almost certain it was parenting….they had some decent ones. i do like that bag though…very nice!!

    *hugs*

  • Pick and fight with James and get him to buy it for you. It worked in the past and it should work again. Soon, you’ll have the whole LV collection. Then share it with me.

  • A Nike or Adidas gym bag is actually a really good, economical, practical, non-girly choice….although it does kind of suggest ”single dad.”

  • That LV one is nice. Baby Bjorn makes some backpack ones.

  • Wow, I would love to have a Kate Spade bag! I’m a big bag hag, purses are my favorite thing in the world. One day, I will own one! At Babies R Us, they sell really cute diaper bags that look like hand bags. They are pretty cheap, so you could get one like that for you and then you could also get one of those backpack ones for your husband. They aren’t too expensive. And they are really cute! I am also very tired of carrying around the Similac bag. It’s awkward as well as sloppy!

James looks like he has a great time with his playgroup! And I love your dress for the wedding!
    Love Kim and Abby

  • A size or two…damn you, woman!

You look great by the way—if I wasnt following your Xanga pregnancy journal from the beginning—I would not believe you gave birth only a few months ago.

Hmmm…I think you should just take your husband to the local BabiesRUS and have him pick out a bag he likes….1K for a baby bag isn’t worth it esp. since it will get dirty from regular usage.

Zach looks so manly in his outfit…

  • heys…jas wanna say…y dun give it a try for a backpack???i used to c my cousin carryin them aroun n they stuffed everythin in da bag.ahah!n off they go to shop wif their baby…da dress looks marvellous on u!ahah!great shape dat u hav out there…n da weddin cake look kinda tradition…kinda like da type chinese ppl hav back here in kuching.ahah!~

  • I love the Land’s End Do-It-All Diaper Bag, and my husband likes it too.  Here’s the site:

    Good Luck, Jodi

  • I got to your site from I believe your sister’s since she said to click here to see more of “her newphew”? Anywho, your baby is ADORABLE!!!! I admit…you have the cutest baby I seen so far-you are one lucky mama..looking forward to more pics!

  • Wow! You really do look nice in that dress. Too bad it ripped.

I have no idea with the bag question. I’m still in the sloppy stage myself. :)
