  • Hello! Remember how huge Zachary was as a baby? He was 18 pounds at 4 months. Anyway - he's now tiny! At his 9 month appointment, he weighed 18 pounds and 8 oz ... 20th percentile. And he was only 40th percentile in height. Zachary got his first hair trim by dad this past week.


       


    Zachary joined a gym. He goes to class with his dad a few times a week, and on Sunday, I take him to free play. For $105, he gets to go to as many classes as he wants for 8 weeks. The gym is near HP, so I plan to visit him sometimes. He really enjoys it there. Just look at the pictures - how could we not sign him up?!


     


     


    He also tried out Gymboree, but he did not enjoy the class as much. Plus, they made James sing songs (he thought it was too stressful to remember the words and hand motions. PaNiC!!!) They also tried to sell us toys... in addition to the $185 tuition for 12 classes! This weekend, my sister Alice and Ryan came to visit. We basically ate and played games.My friends Dana, Uyen, and Jackie also visited.

  • Wow! So I guess when we all say that he's getting big, really he hasn't grown much at all! Haha.

  • gosh. i have no concept of what is considered BIG anymore...because of my son. he weighed in at 14 lbs at his one month a few days ago. were u concerned at all w/ Zachary's size (when compared to other babies his age?) unless he's destined to be another Shaq or Yao...i hope he even's himself out as Zachary has. * ^ ^ *

  • hahahaha love the second last pic where it looks like his little sock is coming off!!!  So cute...and LOL at James feeling stressed about the songs and hand motions.  That's how I would feel too.

  • his hair now reminds me of those little shaolin monks in the chinese movies...looks like someone's having a lot of fun!

  • So many adorable pics....so colourful...it's like a game of Spot the Cute Baby! The cutest would have to be the last..i just love seeing baby in perspective to other things..that's when you realise...they're so tiny!!!

    So how is work now that you're back? Hard to fall back into the groove?

  • Zach has lost his baby fat....but he's still as cute as ever.

    My son was also a very chubby baby--one of the main reason why Sam thought he took after me(I was a fat baby).

    I think it's great Zach has joined a gym; it's best to start young.

  • How big was Zach again when he was born?  The dr's expect Ricky to be about 8lbs (If I go till my due date)..  I remember the Dr. saying something about percentile, but I don't remember what she said exactly...  Zach always looks like such a happy baby... :)   

    Oh, and thanks to your influence... I have a mothership coming in the mail... :)  

  • when i was a kid, we didn't have kiddie gyms. all we had were piles of rocks, and twigs and regular gray box nintendo with a rectangular controller that hurt when you held it.

  • Zach seems to be really enjoying the gym!

    I thought he's growing up to be more like dad (thin and tall) so you need not worry about his weight...

  • It's the gym that has gotten him to lose all that holiday weight. Also, Kayoko, in that picture, his sock isn't coming off - his right foot is just significantly larger than the right one.

  • Hey...  Yeah, we're getting down to the wire already!!  :)   I'm so nervous though... 

    I got the one like yours... I thought everything else was too "femmie" for the DH to be carrying around, and settled on the blue chocolate... :)   I can't wait to get it...

    hmmm perhaps you could try tummy crunches/yoga/pilates to get that toned bod again? ;)

  • you may not be able to tell by his total lack of attention to the tv in that last pic, but Zachary totally kicked our butts in Mario Kart that day ;)

  • they should make him bench press at the gym... haha
