It’s a weeknight and I have an 8am meeting tomorrow, so this will be a quick entry. Lots of pictures, fewer words.
Two weekends ago, we went to One Root, a multi-cultural park event. We stayed there all afternoon, and then went to Dana and Dave’s house for Thai takeout. Even though the purpose of getting together was to ‘meet and greet’ Jason, they ended up giving me birthday gifts and treated us to dinner! I was definitely not expecting a birthday gift since they just had a baby! On Sunday, we went to Alex’s for a playdate and lunch. I love going to other people’s houses to eat.
This past weekend, we went to a kite festival, but it started raining so we went home. In the afternoon, we went to Evan’s 3rd birthday party at Incredible John’s. There was a huge line outside the door – it was like a Vegas nightclub for kids. Buffet, themed dining areas, lots of rides, games, and flashing lights. There was even a mini roller coaster inside! Happy 3rd Birthday Evan!
On Sunday, we hosted a playgroup and lunch at our house. I used the salmon recipe from Alice’s 30th birthday, and it was a hit! After everyone else left, Dana and I took our boys for a walk (Well, Zachary rode a trike and Jason was in a stroller, but the moms walked). There is a huge preserve right by my house with walking trails that I never knew about! And I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 2 years!

Apparently the playdate was not so exciting for adults – I’ve never had a grown up fall asleep during one of my social events before! That last picture is from a local paper. They did an article about an evening park event, and Zachary made it on the paper. I think that’s a first time for him!

HAHAHA – OMG – does that guy know you posted the photo of him sleeping?? He must be either embarrassed or feel really bad. Well, he SHOULD – you slave and slave to cook and clean and entertain and what do you get?? A couple of zzzzs.
Congratulations to you and to all your friends for having such cute families! So many smiling kids!
