Update: Baby is pretty sick and was checked in the hospital 2 days ago with bilirubin levels at 21.6. Was checked out last night after treatment at 11.7 and was rechecked this morning (results pending).
Sorry if we are not returning phone calls or being recpetive to visitors at this point. We’ll let everyone know when we’re back in the safety zone. In the meantime, please think positive thoughts for a quick recovery with no permenant damage!

Am not sure if you already know about this, but where I’m from we usually place a jaundiced baby on a little table out in the morning sun for up to half an hour everyday (break every ten minutes, and the baby should be blindfolded to protect her eyes from the sun). Apparently, soaking up the morning sun’s rays helps in curing jaundice in little babies. It usually works anyway (plus she’ll get a pretty tan). =) good luck and am sure she will be well soon!
