Hi everyone. Zachary is sick ... twice so far this winter. He is coughing and sniffling. Despite his illness, he is moving around fast - we've got to get those stair gates up. Yesterday, I put him in the family room and went to the car to get the diaper bag. By the time I got back (10 seconds) he was gone! I did eventually find him ... the raspy cough gave him away.

We went to 2 neighbor's homes for trick-or-treating. At one house, he got a teething biscuit. As a side note, I have a complaint - not sure if this is common, but literally 25-50% of the trick-or-treaters that came to our house did not wear a costume?! And some were adults (I don't mean teenagers, but mid-20s and older). I told my husband not to give them candy, but he said that he'd rather just give them candy than deal with any "tricks." I guess the type of adult that would go trick-or-treating without a costume would probably be the type to play a nasty trick. SHAMELESS!

Ah - and I finally got a diaper bag. An early Chirstmas present from my husband. I needed a bigger one because I carry my camera and a bottle of lotion with me everywhere. Plus, I need to start carrying around his food and a jacket. It's starting to get cold* and rainy here.
*California cold ... which is around 50 degrees... Actually, 60 degrees today

aw hes growing so fast, hope he gets better soon ^-
Awww..Zach was trying to hide from mama--I love how his cough gave him away.
I love the pics of Zach...such a bubbly lil guy.
50 degrees is nothing but I'm sure you're used to Northeastern winters.
Have a great weekend.
Love the bag and wow he got a lot of candy huh?
I start calling the courthouse next Friday so I won't know for at least another week---I doubt I will get selected though--*crosses fingers.*
LOL Bora Bora sounds nice! Did you have a big wedding? You can email pics to VlDgRl05@aol.com if you want to?
Always smiles, even when he's sick, what a camper~
If I was sick I be crying and screaming for my mom.
KUTE KUTE KUTE!
Wow! I can't believe that many people (and adults!!) went trick-or-treating without a costume! Geez, that's ridiculous.
I hope Zachary feels better soon, poor little babe.
Love the bag, wow lots of candy Zachary got! hehe I'm sure you and hubby will enjoy it, I love candy!
He's so cute and getting so big, hope he gets over his cold soon. Blessings!
isn't that more a gift for zach than you?
i hope you can get something else from him for christmas.
and if not, then i must use this ploy one day in the future as well. = )
i hope he get's better soon!
How many people come to your house for ToT? I think we only got about 30 or so at my MIL's house...
Hey, what kind of bag is that? It's pretty!
aww I found your page and it is sooo cute! I am also expecting (4-16-05), and this is our first. I totally hear you on the adult trick-or-treaters, but my husband didn't give them anything. I couldn't actually believe it really- what was going through their mind?!? Sorry your baby is sick, and I hope he feels better soon.
That's too funny! He's already playing hide and go seak. Cute!
Derek is a little over a month younger than Zackary, so I think your first impression was right. They're developing about the same and it's really nice to see what Derek will be doing in a month by watching Zackary. Only, Zackary was pulling himself up at 5.5 months, wasn't he? Derek can stand, but only if Al or I hold his hands or waist. He won't use anything else to hold on to.
I hear more and more how people are waiting to start solids until six months. I, personally, couldn't wait. He was eating too much and I couldn't keep up with him. I think he just has his daddy's appetite.
Yes, we did get a lot of trick-or-treaters without costumes, but I thought it was just because we live in an appartment complex. No adults, though.
well.. no one really mentioned anything to me about actually having a shower.. so... i don't know.... esp. since most of my family (other relatives) don't know i'm pregnant... So... yeah... I don't really want to hold my breath...
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, it appears that the trick to getting what one wants from James is to threaten him with a trick! A weird thing about the preceding sentence is that my first use of the word 'trick' is Webster's definition 3a, "a quick or artful way of getting a result." But my second use of the word 'trick' is Webster's definition 1b, "a mischievous act: prank." Note: Nowhere did I use Webster's definition 5d, "a sexual act performed by a prostitute." Although, ummmm, that actually might work too.
Well... It's like my extended family that doesn't know... Or I don't THINK they know... My mom's sisters and grandparent's know... But like, my great aunts on either of my parent's side don't know I think... I hardly see them... So... Yeah...
But I registered at a few places... So.. Maybe I'll just go shopping on my own if nothing happens...
Thanks for listening..
COLD!! That's downright BALMY!!
Btw, Zach has become a topic of conversation for a friend and I. Every few days, we'd both check your site and talk about how cute the new pictures are.
If my future baby is not cute, I'm gonna blame you for setting the bar too high.
There's an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" about that same thing! These two older teenage girls come to David's house without costumes. He refuses them candy. Next morning his property is COVERED in toilet paper and egg yolk.
Derek doesn't actually have the teeth yet, but you can see them. They're right at the top and about to break through.
How old was Zackary when he started crawling? Derek was trying to get up on his knees last night. It was more than I expected since he doesn't get all that much belly time. We don't have much room on the floor and it takes a lot to get my husband to take off his shoes to keep the floor clean. The crib doesn't leave much room to move around.
Anyway, I hope he does crawl soon. It sounds like fun to watch him discover new things and places to go. I hope you're still finding it fun.
Awww... I hope he feels better. It's the worst when they are sick; for both baby and mommy! Thanks so much for the card and pictures!! I love the pictures!
Also, great updates!
how old is zach?
i hope he feels better.
I love that bag! It's so cute! It's hard finding a nice one that doesn't make me look like a dead mommy, but Target had a really cute one that had a pink stripe across the top and the rest looked like a purse.
Zack looks like he is having a great time with that candy! I noticed that about alot of our trick or treaters too. it wasn't even parents taking kids around, it was just parents. Hmm...
Love Kim and Abby
thanx...are...you...chinese or Korean?
ehehehe...my bad >_< what type? Mandarin or cantonese or fu sho ahahaha...so many too name...
hey, thanks for the advice. It's actually slowly going away (thank God!).
i'm not breast feeding anymore coz my milk stopped coming in. =(
california cold? haha... those 2 words shouldn't be in the same sentence. it's COLD here in Toronto....
your warning has been logged and will be heeded.
so what else can a fit from a pregnant (or not) lady get these days? = )
Don't feed him too much candy. You don't want him to be one of those kids with alternating silver capped teeth. Yargh!
Lucky Californians.
Brr.
We got snow today in waterloo Ontario
And your kid is so cute! All smiles.
I love the turtle costume.
thats a beautiful bag!!! i love it!! if i have another child, im getting a bag like that
.
anyway, i hope zachary gets to feeling better. poor little guy
.
we didnt have any trick or treaters this year, or over the last 3 years....never lived where kids lived!!
*hugs*
chi flat irons wall will down, if not help, then do not push is also a good; see someone porridge, you eat meat, you do not want to give, then do not spat on chi hair straightener the mouth is a good, see someone cry, if you do not want comfort, Then do not gloat is also a good; as a teacher, if not students everywhere, it is not fraught with chi ceramic flat irons a kind. - good is actually very simple.
